ABC's of Parenting: Setting Up For School Success

Parents and children 4-6 years of age meet in separate groups for two hours, once weekly, for seven consecutive weeks.

Parents discuss topics such as developmental stages, appropriate expectations, and family management.

Children learn comparable skills at age-appropriate levels through puppets, role-play, music, art activities, and leader-led discussions.

The course is designed to foster self-confidence, self-management, and a "can do" attitude through nuturing parenting- critical components of school readiness.

Classes take place on Thursdays, March to May from 5:15-8:00 p.m. in Moscow at the Head Start. Parents and children ages 4-6 will attend. Child care will be provided for children birth to three years of age, free of charge. Each of the 7 sessions will begin with dinner for all participating families. A donation of $25 is suggested for the 7 week series. Full or partial scholarships are available upon request. The pre-register contact YCFP for more information.
